BWMS Retrofitting Works

Solafide was engaged to carry out the full electrical installation works for a Ballast Water Management System (BWMS) retrofit aboard the MV ST EVER, a container vessel. The scope covered the complete integration of an Alfa Laval PureBallast 3.2 UV treatment system — from cable installation through to commissioning support.

Our team handled all cable layout, pulling, marking, and termination works across the vessel’s ballast system components. Installation was carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s electrical design, with our technicians checking across all sensors, flow meters, control valves, and filter valves to the control panel.

What We Did

Cable layout, pulling, marking, arranging, and installation throughout the ballast system

Verification of equipment and component locations — control valves, flow transmitter, filter valve, bypass valve, cooling water valve, BWMS CIP Module

Termination of all apparatus for water ballast equipment

Fitting connections to each piece of equipment per manufacturer electrical design

Loop checking from sensors, limit switches, and flow meters through to the control panel

Commissioning support — assisting the manufacturer's commissioning engineer on-site
